What is the purpose of the Audi A1's turbochargers?

I have noticed that the Audi A1 has two turbochargers, but I am not sure why. Can you explain their purpose and how they work?

The Audi A1's turbochargers are designed to increase the engine's power output by compressing the intake air. This allows for more oxygen to enter the engine, resulting in a more powerful combustion process.

In addition to increasing power, the use of two smaller turbochargers allows for better responsiveness and reduced turbo lag. This means that the engine will respond more quickly when you step on the gas pedal.

As for how they work, the two turbochargers work in a series. The first turbocharger compresses the air and sends it to the second turbocharger, which further compresses it before sending it to the engine. This allows for maximum power output.
