When should I replace the timing belt on my Audi A6 3.0T?

I recently purchased a used Audi A6 3.0T and I'm not sure when I should replace the timing belt. Can anyone advise me on the recommended time or mileage intervals to replace it?

According to Audi's official maintenance schedule, the timing belt on your A6 3.0T should be replaced every 110,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. This is a crucial part of the engine and failure to replace it at the recommended intervals could result in costly repairs.

My mechanic always recommends replacing the timing belt at 90,000 miles, just to be safe. He says it's better to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to engine maintenance. I've never had any issues with my Audi A6 3.0T's timing belt since following this advice.
