Why does my Audi 80 make a grinding noise when shifting gears?

Recently, my Audi 80 has started to make a grinding noise when shifting gears, especially in lower gears. I've checked the transmission fluid and it seems to be at the correct level. What could be causing this issue?

It is possible that the synchronizer rings in your transmission are worn out or damaged. This can cause a grinding noise when shifting gears. I recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Another potential cause could be a faulty throwout bearing or input shaft bearing. These bearings can wear out over time and cause a grinding noise during gear shifts. I suggest having a professional mechanic inspect and replace these bearings if necessary.

It's also worth checking if your clutch is worn out or needs adjustment. A worn out clutch or misaligned clutch can cause grinding noises when shifting gears. I recommend having a professional mechanic inspect and replace your clutch if necessary.
