Why does my Audi 80 make a rattling noise when I start the engine?

Every time I start my Audi 80, I hear a rattling noise from the engine area. It only lasts for a few seconds and then stops. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

It is most likely due to a loose or worn-out tensioner or pulley in the engine belt system. It is not a major issue and can easily be fixed by a mechanic. You should have it checked out to prevent any potential damage.

Check the engine oil level and condition. Low or dirty oil can also cause rattling noises in the engine. Make sure to regularly change your oil and keep it at the recommended level to avoid any potential problems.
