Why does my Audi 80's engine produce a knocking noise when accelerating at high speeds?

I have noticed a persistent knocking noise coming from my car's engine when I accelerate at high speeds (>60 mph). The noise seems to be most prominent when I am going uphill. Can anyone suggest what may be causing this issue and how I can resolve it?

It's possible that the knocking noise is caused by pre-ignition or engine pinging, which can be a result of low fuel octane, carbon build up, or a faulty ignition system. I recommend taking your Audi 80 to a trusted mechanic to run a diagnostic test and identify the specific cause of the noise.

I had a similar issue with my Audi 80, and it turned out to be a problem with the fuel injectors. They were clogged and not delivering the correct amount of fuel to the engine, causing it to knock. I suggest getting your fuel injectors cleaned or replaced to see if that resolves the issue.
