Why does my Audi A1 make a high-pitched squealing noise when I turn on the AC?

Recently I noticed that every time I turn on the AC in my 2019 Audi A1, it makes a loud and high-pitched squealing noise. What could be causing this?

This could be caused by a loose or worn out AC belt. I suggest having it checked and replaced if needed. It's a relatively inexpensive fix.
