Why does my Audi A2 make a clicking noise when I turn the key?

I have noticed that when I turn the key in my Audi A2, there is a clicking noise coming from the engine. It seems to happen more frequently when the car has been sitting for a while. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that the clicking noise is coming from a faulty starter motor or solenoid. These components can wear out over time and may need to be replaced. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked.

Another potential cause of the clicking noise could be a weak battery. If the battery is not providing enough power to the starter motor, it may make a clicking sound instead of starting the engine. You may want to have your battery tested and replaced if necessary.
