Why does my Audi A2 make a rattling noise on acceleration?

I recently noticed that my Audi A2 makes a rattling noise whenever I accelerate, but it goes away when I let off the gas. Can someone provide any insight or possible solutions for this issue?

It is possible that the rattling noise is coming from a loose exhaust heat shield. You may want to bring your car to a mechanic to have it checked and potentially tightened or replaced.

M

Another possible cause of the rattling noise could be a failing engine mount. This can lead to excessive movement of the engine and cause a rattling sound. It's best to have it inspected and replaced if needed.

Make sure to check the condition of your air filter as well. A clogged or dirty air filter can cause a rattling noise in the engine. Consider replacing it if it is dirty or has been in use for a long time.
