Why does my Audi A5 engine make a loud clicking noise when I start it?

Every time I start my car, the engine makes a loud clicking noise for a few seconds before it stops. I'm worried that this is a sign of a bigger problem. Can anyone explain what is causing this and if I should be concerned?

The loud clicking noise you hear is most likely due to worn out timing chain tensioners. This is a common issue with Audi A5 engines, but it shouldn't cause any major problems. However, it's always a good idea to get it checked out by a professional mechanic just to be safe.

I have had the same issue with my Audi A5 and the clicking noise turned out to be a faulty valve lifter. It's not a serious issue, but it's best to get it fixed as it can lead to reduced performance and fuel efficiency.
