Why does my Audi A5 make a loud clicking sound when I turn the steering wheel?

I have recently noticed a loud clicking sound coming from my Audi A5 whenever I turn the steering wheel, especially at low speeds. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. Has anyone else experienced this issue and know what could be causing it?

This could be due to a worn out or damaged CV joint, which is part of the driveshaft that transfers power from the engine to the wheels. It could also be an issue with the steering column or a worn out wheel bearing. It's best to have a mechanic inspect and diagnose the issue for a proper fix.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A5 and it turned out to be a loose heat shield on the exhaust system. As the car was turning, the heat shield would vibrate and make a clicking sound. Make sure to check all the heat shields under the car to see if any are loose.

Another possible cause could be a lack of power steering fluid, which can cause the power steering pump to make a clicking noise when it's low. Check the fluid levels and top up if needed.
