Why does my Audi A6 produce a clicking sound while turning?

I've recently noticed a clicking sound coming from the front end of my Audi A6 whenever I make a turn. I've had my mechanic check the wheel bearings and they seem to be fine. What could be causing this issue?

It could be a worn out CV joint. As a general rule of thumb, it's recommended to have these joints inspected and potentially replaced every 100,000 km or if you start noticing any clicking or popping sounds while turning.

Have you checked the steering column for any looseness? Sometimes the clicking sound can come from a loose or damaged joint in the steering system. I would recommend getting your steering system checked by a specialist.
