Why does my Audi A6's MMI screen keep restarting?

I've noticed that my MMI screen on my Audi A6 keeps randomly restarting while driving. This can be quite disruptive and I'm not sure what's causing it. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution?

The most common cause of the MMI screen restarting is a software glitch. You can try resetting the system by holding down the MMI reset buttons for 10 seconds and then restarting your car.
