Why does my Audi A7 have excess brake noise?

I've noticed a strange noise coming from my brakes on my Audi A7 every time I come to a stop. It sounds like a high-pitched squeal. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

The most common reason for this noise is due to worn brake pads. As the brake pads wear down, they will start to make this noise as you apply the brakes. It is important to get your brake pads replaced to avoid further damage to your braking system.

It could also be an issue with your brake rotors. If they are worn or warped, they can make a noise similar to what you are describing. Have a certified mechanic check your brake rotors to see if they need to be replaced.

Another possibility is that there is debris or dirt stuck in your brake calipers. This can cause a squealing noise when you brake. A simple cleaning can usually fix this issue.
