I have a 2018 Audi A4 and whenever I turn the steering wheel, there is a loud, high-pitched squealing noise coming from the front of the car. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's starting to become more frequent. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can fix it?
ReplyIt sounds like you may have a worn or loose belt in your car. This can cause a squealing noise when turning, especially if the belt is slipping on the pulleys. It's important to have this checked and replaced if necessary, as a worn belt can cause other issues with your car's performance.
I had the same issue with my Audi A5 and it turned out to be a problem with the power steering pump. The noise was caused by air in the system. I would recommend having your power steering system checked and bled to see if that solves the issue.
Another potential cause for the squealing noise could be a worn or faulty wheel bearing. This can often be diagnosed by lifting the car and checking for any excess play or noise in the wheel. If that's the issue, it's important to have it replaced as it can lead to more serious problems if left unchecked.
