Why does my Audi produce a ticking noise when braking?

I've noticed a ticking or clicking noise coming from my Audi whenever I apply the brakes. It seems to be more noticeable at slower speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The ticking noise you hear is most likely coming from the brake calipers. Over time, the calipers can become worn, causing them to make a ticking sound when they move. This can also happen if the calipers have become loose or are not properly aligned. Take your car to a certified mechanic to have them inspect and potentially replace the brake calipers.

Another possible cause of the ticking noise could be worn brake pads. When brake pads wear down, the metal clips that hold them in place can start to make a ticking sound as they rub against the rotors. Have your brake pads checked and replaced if necessary to fix the issue.
