Why does the Audi A2's engine make a ticking sound at idle?

I've noticed that my Audi A2's engine makes a ticking sound when it's idling. It doesn't seem to affect performance, but it's a bit concerning. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal or should I get it checked out?

The ticking sound you hear is most likely caused by a faulty valve lifter. It's a common issue in the Audi A2 and can be easily fixed by replacing the lifter. I recommend taking it to a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent any further damage to your engine.
