Why does the Audi A6 have a Quattro all-wheel-drive system?

I've heard that the Audi A6 has a unique all-wheel-drive system called Quattro, but I'm not sure what the benefits of this are. Can you explain why Audi has chosen to include this in their A6 model?

The Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive system provides greater traction and stability on the road, especially in adverse weather conditions. This is achieved by distributing power between all four wheels, allowing for better control and handling.

The Quattro system also helps improve fuel efficiency by constantly adjusting power distribution based on road conditions, reducing unnecessary energy usage. This also results in a smoother and more comfortable ride for both the driver and passengers.
