I am looking at buying the Audi R8, but I am confused about the different top speeds for the base model and the R8 Plus. Can anyone explain why there is a difference?

I've driven both the base model and the R8 Plus on the highway and I didn't really notice a significant difference in top speed. It might just be a marketing tactic.
