Why is my Audi 80 engine struggling to start in the cold weather?

I've noticed that my Audi 80 has been having trouble starting in the cold weather. It takes multiple tries to get the engine to turn over. What could be causing this issue?

Your battery may be losing its charge quicker in the cold weather. Consider using a battery charger or replacing the battery if it's more than 3 years old.
