Why is my Audi 80 making squealing noises when I turn?

Recently, my Audi 80 has been making a high-pitched squealing noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hello Alexandra, it sounds like you may have a problem with your power steering. This could be due to low fluid levels, a damaged drive belt, or a faulty pump. I recommend checking your power steering fluid and inspecting the drive belt for any cracks or fraying. If the issue persists, it may be best to take your car to a trusted mechanic for further inspection.

Hey there Alexandra, another possible cause for the squealing noise could be worn out brake pads. When brake pads wear down, they can start to make a noise when turning because they are rubbing against the rotor. I suggest having your brake pads checked and replaced if necessary.

Hi Alexandra, this could also be a sign of a worn out power steering belt. When a belt starts to wear out, it can make a squealing noise when turning. I recommend having your belt inspected and replaced if needed.
