Why is my Audi 80 Overheating in Heavy Traffic?

I have noticed that my Audi 80 tends to overheat when I am stuck in heavy traffic, even though the temperature gauge shows that it is at the normal level. What could be causing this issue and what can I do to prevent it?

This could be due to a malfunctioning radiator fan. The fan is responsible for cooling the engine when it gets hot, but if it's not working properly, your car may overheat in heavy traffic. Have a mechanic check the fan and replace it if necessary. In the meantime, avoid driving in heavy traffic if possible.

Your car may be low on coolant or the coolant may have become old and is no longer functioning properly. Check the coolant level and the condition of the coolant. If it's low, top it up and if it's old, flush it out and replace it. This should help prevent overheating in heavy traffic.
