Why is my Audi A2 stalling at stop lights?

I have a 2002 Audi A2 and it keeps stalling at stop lights or when I come to a stop. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

One of the most common causes of stalling at stop lights is a dirty or faulty idle air control valve. It controls the amount of air entering the engine when the throttle is closed, and if it is dirty or malfunctioning, it can cause stalling. Try cleaning or replacing the valve.

E

Another possibility is a clogged air filter. A dirty air filter can restrict air flow to the engine, causing it to stall at idle. Replace the air filter if it is dirty.

D

It could also be a problem with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or a malfunctioning fuel pump. Have a mechanic check the fuel system for any issues.
