Why is the steering wheel of my Audi A1 shaking?

I recently noticed that whenever I reach a speed of around 60 km/h, the steering wheel of my Audi A1 starts shaking. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it can be quite concerning. Can someone help me understand why this might be happening and what steps I should take to fix it?

This could be due to an issue with your tires or wheels. Have you checked for any signs of uneven wear or damage? If so, you may need to get your tires balanced or replaced. It's also a good idea to get your wheels aligned to ensure proper handling and reduce vibrations on the steering wheel.

Another possible cause could be worn out suspension components. If your Audi A1 has high mileage or has been driven on rough roads, it's possible that the shocks or struts may need to be replaced. This could help improve the overall ride quality and reduce shaking on the steering wheel.

In some cases, this issue may be related to the power steering system. If there is a problem with the power steering pump or fluid, it could result in vibrations on the steering wheel. It's important to have this checked by a mechanic to prevent any potential damage to the steering system.
