Why is the steering wheel of my Audi A6 shaking while driving?

I recently noticed that my Audi A6's steering wheel has been shaking while I'm driving at high speeds. It's making me worried about the safety of my car. Can someone please explain what could be causing this and what steps I should take to fix it?

Hi Jenna, the shaking of your steering wheel could be caused by a few different things. One possibility is that your wheels are out of balance, which can lead to uneven tire wear and shaking. Another possibility is that your tires are old and worn out, causing them to vibrate at high speeds. It could also be a sign of worn suspension components or misalignment. My advice would be to take your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and any necessary repairs. It's always better to address these issues sooner rather than later for the safety and longevity of your vehicle.
