Why won't my Audi 80 start in cold weather?

I've noticed that my Audi 80 has trouble starting in cold weather. It seems to crank but won't turn over until I've tried several times. Is there something I can do to avoid this issue?

It's possible that your battery is weak and needs to be replaced. Cold weather can make it harder for an old battery to start the engine. Try having it tested or replaced by a professional.

A

Another possibility is that your fuel line may have water or ice in it, which can prevent your engine from starting. Consider adding a fuel deicer to your gas tank as a preventative measure.

D

You may also want to check your spark plugs and ignition system. Cold weather can make these components work harder and they may need to be replaced if they are worn or damaged.
