The Audi A8 comes with three different engine options - a 3.0-liter V6, a 4.0-liter V8, and a 6.0-liter W12. The main difference between these engines is the horsepower and torque they produce. The V6 produces 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, the V8 produces 453 horsepower and 488 lb-ft of torque, and the W12 produces a whopping 590 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. So, if you want more power, go for the V8 or the W12.

Besides power, you should also consider fuel efficiency. The V6 engine has the best fuel economy, with an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined. The V8 and W12 engines have lower fuel economy, at 20 mpg and 18 mpg combined, respectively. So, if you're looking to save some money on gas, go for the V6.

If you want the smoothest and most luxurious ride, the W12 engine is the way to go. It comes with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that helps reduce vibrations and provides a more comfortable driving experience. However, it is also the most expensive engine option. So, if you have the budget, go for the W12.
