How do I turn off the automatic start-stop function in my Audi A1?

I find the frequent engine shut-offs and restarts of the start-stop function in my Audi A1 to be annoying. Is there a way to disable this feature?

You can turn off the start-stop function by pressing the button located near the gearshift. However, if you want to permanently disable it, you can have your Audi dealer reprogram it.
