How does the Park Assist feature work in the Audi A7?

I'm interested in buying an Audi A7 and wanted to know how the Park Assist feature works. Does it automatically detect parking spaces or do I have to press a button to activate it? Can it handle parallel and perpendicular parking? Any tips on using it effectively? Thanks!

The Park Assist feature uses ultrasonic sensors to detect open parking spaces and can assist with both parallel and perpendicular parking. To activate it, simply press the Park Assist button on the central console.
