How to adjust the idle speed of an Audi 80?

I have an Audi 80 and the idle speed seems too high. It's causing the car to shake while idling and using more fuel than usual. How can I adjust the idle speed to fix this issue?

To adjust the idle speed of an Audi 80, locate the idle speed screw (usually located near the throttle body) and turn it counterclockwise to lower the idle speed. Make small adjustments until the idle speed is stable and the car no longer shakes.

The idle speed on an Audi 80 can also be adjusted by cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve. Accumulated dirt and debris can cause the air flow to be restricted, leading to a higher idle speed. Use a throttle body cleaner and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
