I have noticed that the headlights on my Audi A5 are not aligned correctly and I want to adjust the aim myself. What is the proper procedure for doing so?
ReplyThe first step is to park your Audi on a level surface facing a flat wall or garage door. Turn on your headlights and see where the beam is shining. Then, use a measuring tape to measure the height from the ground to the center of your headlights and mark it on the wall. This will be your vertical reference line.
Next, use the adjustment screws on the back of your headlight assembly to adjust the aim of your headlights. The horizontal adjustment screw will move the beam left or right, while the vertical adjustment screw will move the beam up or down. Use the markings on the wall as a guide and make small adjustments until the beam lines up with the reference line.
