Is Carbon Fiber Better Than Aluminum for the Audi R8 Body?

I am considering purchasing an Audi R8 and I have heard that some models come with a carbon fiber body instead of aluminum. Is carbon fiber really better? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Which one should I choose?
