What is Audi A5's MMI Infotainment System and how does it work?

I recently purchased an Audi A5 and I keep hearing about the MMI Infotainment System. Can someone explain what it is and how to use it?

The MMI Infotainment System is a multimedia interface that controls various systems in your Audi A5 such as audio, navigation, and climate control. It can be operated through the central control knob, voice commands, or by using the touchscreen display.

To use the MMI system, first press the control knob to turn it on. Then use the knob to navigate through the menu options and press down to select.
