Why does my Audi A2 engine struggle when starting in cold weather?

I've noticed that when the weather is cold, my Audi A2 takes longer to start and seems to struggle. What could be causing this issue?

It is common for engines to struggle in cold weather due to the thickening of engine oil and the increased resistance of cold engine parts. To combat this issue, make sure to use the recommended engine oil for your Audi A2 and consider using a block heater to warm up your engine before starting in cold temperatures.

This could also be a sign of a failing battery. As batteries age, they have a harder time holding a charge in cold weather. I would recommend having your battery tested and replaced if necessary. Also, make sure to turn off all unnecessary electronics before starting your Audi A2 in cold weather to reduce strain on the battery.
