Why does my Audi A3 make a rattling noise when driving over bumps?

I recently noticed that my Audi A3 makes a rattling noise whenever I go over bumps. It's very annoying and I'm worried it could be a sign of a bigger problem. Can anyone advise on what might be causing this issue and how to fix it?

The most common cause of rattling noises in Audi A3 is loose heat shields. These can be easily fixed by tightening or replacing the shields. You can also try adding some padding between the shield and the exhaust pipe for a more permanent solution.

Another possible cause is worn-out suspension components. If your A3 has high mileage, it's likely that the shocks and struts are worn out and need to be replaced. This will not only fix the rattling noise but also improve the overall ride quality.
