What causes the shaky steering in an Audi 80?

I have noticed that my 2002 Audi 80 has started shaking when I turn the steering wheel. It's never happened before, what could be the cause of this issue?

There are a few possible reasons for this issue, Maria. First, check your tire pressure, as low pressure can cause shaking. Additionally, it could be due to unbalanced tires, worn out suspension components, or even a faulty steering column. Have a mechanic inspect your vehicle to determine the exact cause.

Hi Maria, this could be due to worn out tie rods or ball joints in your steering system. These components help with smooth steering and if they are damaged, it can cause shaking. It's best to get them replaced quickly to avoid any further damage.

Check your power steering fluid level, Maria. If it's low or dirty, it can cause issues with the steering system and make it shake. You can easily top it up or have a mechanic do it for you. Additionally, it could be due to a damaged power steering belt, which should also be checked and replaced if needed.
